Garlic is a very tricky thing to paint, especially when trying to remain loose. Being a white object, one must look hard for those subtle changes in color and temperature, and even then some imagination helps vitalize the painting. The blue of the shadow is not quite as light, in real life, as it came out in the photograph. This is 6x8", oil on canvas panel. Please visit my blog and/or website. Thanks
